What is Revolutio?

Revolutio is an independent research project that tracks which industries AI is actually disrupting. We publish data-driven industry analysis sourced from government statistics, company filings, marketplace data, and venture capital databases.

We are not a consultancy. We do not sell reports. We do not write think pieces about what AI might do. We track what the evidence says AI is already doing — and what it isn't.

Why we exist

Most AI disruption content falls into two camps: hype ("AI changes everything") or skepticism ("AI changes nothing"). Both are wrong. AI disruption is real but unevenly distributed — some industries are being rewritten right now, others haven't moved.

The problem is that very few people are tracking the disruption systematically. Thousands of articles predict what AI will do. Almost no one records what it has already done, with verifiable sources.

That's the gap we fill.

Our methodology

Every disruption claim follows a four-step process:

Identify the signal.

Job market data, capital flow shifts, tool adoption rates, marketplace pricing changes.

Attribute to AI specifically.

Distinguish AI-driven disruption from general automation, macro trends, or offshoring. If the effect can't be separated from other causes, we say so.

Verify with two independent sources.

Every claim requires at least two non-related data sources. Anecdotes, CEO quotes, and press releases don't count as sources — they count as leads to investigate.

Publish counter-evidence.

Every disruption call includes the strongest case against it. If the data is ambiguous, we say it's ambiguous.

Data sources

We rely on publicly verifiable data:

  • Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) — occupational employment data, wage data, projections
  • SEC filings and investor presentations — company-disclosed headcount changes, AI tool adoption, efficiency metrics
  • WARN notices — public layoff filings (US)
  • PitchBook and Rock Health — venture capital funding data
  • Marketplace data — Upwork, Fiverr, freelance platform pricing trends
  • FDA databases — AI/ML medical device clearances
  • Industry surveys — American Lawyer, AAPC, AHIMA, KLAS Research, and others

  • We do not make predictions. We track what has happened, not what will happen.
  • We do not accept paid placements or sponsored content.
  • We do not sell research reports (yet).
